Apple - Food that heal























The Apple is a highly nutritive food.It contains minerals
and vitamins in abundance.
The skin of the should not be discarded when taking it as it
contain more vitamin C than the inner flesh

Raw apples are good for constipation.At least two apple should
be taken daily.Cooked or baked apples are good for diarrhoea.

Ripe and sweet apple crushed in to pulp are good for dysentery
especially for children.

Mashed apple with sprinkled with cinnamon or honey ,good for
stomach disorders.

Apples are good for headache,high blood pressure,dry cough,kidney
stones,eye disorders,dental dis orders.

Clove (Laung)


















Clove is the dried unopened flower bud obtained from a handsome, middle sized
ever green tree.The flower buds are at first of a pale color and gradually become green, after which they develop into a bright red, when they are ready for collecting.

Cloves are very useful for digestive disorders.Licking the powder with honey
is effective in controlling vomiting.

Chewing cloves with salt eases,relieves the irritation in the throat and stops cough
Clove also helps in controlling tooth ache.

A paste of clove and salt crystals in milk is a common household remedy for headache

Ginger (Adrak)


















Young ginger rhizomes are juicy and fleshy with a very mild taste. They are often pickled in vinegar or sherry as a snack or just cooked as an ingredient in many dishes. They can also be stewed in boiling water to make ginger tea, to which honey is often added as a sweetener; sliced orange or lemon fruit may also be added. Mature ginger roots are fibrous and nearly dry. The juice from old ginger roots is extremely potent and is often used as a spice in Indian Recipes

The herb is an excellent remedy for coughs and colds.Extracted juice of ginger and honey is taken three or four times a day incase of cough.

Ginger tea is another effective remedy for frequent colds and associated fevers.

Basil (Tulsi)


















Basil is a tender low-growing herb that is grown as a perennial in warm, tropical climates. Basil is originally native to Iran, India and other tropical regions of Asia, having been cultivated there for more than 5,000 years

Basil seeds soaked in water the seeds of several basil varieties become gelatinous, and are used in Asian drinks and desserts such as falooda or sherbet. Such seeds are known variously as sabja, subja, takmaria, tukmaria, falooda, or hột é. They are used for their medicinal properties in Ayurveda, the traditional medicinal system of India.

Recently, there has been much research into the health benefits conferred by the essential oils found in basil. Scientific studies have established that compounds in basil oil have potent antioxidant hence anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-viral, and anti-microbial properties. In addition, basil has been shown to decrease the occurrence of platelet aggregation and experimental thrombus in mice. It is traditionally used for supplementary treatment of stress, asthma and diabetes in India.

Asafoetida,Hing















Asafoetida is used as a flavouring agent and forms a constituent of
many spice mixtures.

Asafoetida is useful inthe treatment of disorders like whooping cough,
asthma and bronchitis.Mixture of asafoetida gum ,honey white onion juice
and betel juice would keep the patiant away from such disorders.

Inhailing asafoetida gum prevents hysterial attacks.

Asafoetida is useful for stomach disorders.
Asafoetida pestled in lemon juice is slightle heated and cotton piece
soaked in the lotion and placedin the cavity of the tooth,relieves pain
